Isaiah Bond sues his sexual assault accuser a week after turning himself in

About a week ago, former Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond was accused of sexual assault and had a warrant out for his arrest. He was arrested, but released again after a $25,000 bond. With the NFL Draft coming up this month, Bond is determined to save face.

Bond sues accuser

From the time that Bond turned himself in, he maintained his innocence, calling the accusations “patently false”. Not even a week later, the 21-year-old continued to deny everything and sued his accuser. Bond’s agent, Damien Butler, emailed all 32 NFL teams to let them know of Bond’s innocence to not harm his draft stock.

“Unlike the false narrative that has been amplified, the truth, once revealed in its entirety, will show that he was targeted by a woman eight years his seniorrelentlessly pursued, enticed by explicit photos & videos and ultimately setup for financial gain,” said Butler.

“Isaiah, like most 21-year-olds, must show a higher level of discernment in social media interactions and access, however, he is completely innocent of the allegations levied against him and will fight to clear his name. For Clubs that still feel his elite talent can help them win games for the next decade, he is eager to get back on the gridiron where he feels most at home.”

WFAA.com obtained the affidavit from Bond’s accuser, which gives her account of the situation. She claims that she and Bond started talking on Instagram and exchanging explicit messages. It turned sour when they finally met in person, with things beginning consensually but turning non-consensual when Bond allegedly forced an act she’d said she was not comfortable with. She also claimed Bond ignored her pleas to stop, covered her mouth, and later offered money and asked her to sign an NDA. Bond allegedly admitted wrongdoing in texts monitored by police.

WR Bond played his final season at Texas last year after two seasons at Alabama. In his career, Bond put up 99 catches for 1,428 yards, and 10 touchdowns. He was in the conversation to be a Day 2 pick at around 88 overallbut teams will have to decide how they feel about this recent incident.
