George Pickens debuts in Dallas – and the vibes are immaculate

The Dallas Cowboys began their OTAs this week and with that, they’ve gotten their first on-field look at wide receiver George Pickens. The Cowboys traded the Steelers for Pickens, adding a second dynamic receiver to play alongside star CeeDee Lamb.

While there have been some concerns about his off-the-field issues, Pickens has been settling in just fine with the Cowboysnoting the difference in culture to that of the Steelers. And his team seems to feel just as excited about him as he does about them.

Pickens receives glowing reviews from Cowboys in Dallas debut

Pickens made an impression on his coaches and teammates with his first on-field activities. He earned praise from head coach Brian Schottenheimer and Lambwho had good things to say about both his play and his attitude.

“He’s obviously a tremendous player, but I love watching him in meetings, because in meetings, he’s so dialed in, taking great notes,” said Schottenheimer. “He knows he’s a little bit behind in terms of what the veterans are doing. But his intentionality in the meeting room has been really cool for me to see.”

When Lamb was asked what he’s most excited about with Pickens, he couldn’t pick just one thing.

“Everything. His demeanor. Everything he brings to the table. Deep threat ability. Able to block. And just the energy he brings to the game,” said Lamb. “We complement each other very well… He hasn’t stopped smiling since he got here.”

There’s a lot of excitement in the Cowboys’ locker room with Pickens now in the mix as he and CeeDee have the potential to become one of the league’s most dangerous WR duos.
