5. Cris Carter / Randy Moss (Vikings)
Cris Carter and Randy Moss were one of the most physically gifted WR duos of their time. In 1998, the Vikings went 15-1 and set a record for points in a season, helped along by Carter’s 12 touchdowns and Moss’ 17. In each of the next two seasons, the dynamic duo combined for 24 touchdowns.
4. Randy Moss / Wes Welker (Patriots)
This duo with Tom Brady at quarterback was elite, but even in the 2008 season when Brady sat out and Matt Cassel filled in, Randy Moss and Wes Welker were unstoppable. In 2007, Moss set a record with 23 touchdowns while Welker led the league in receptions with 112. Welker was one of the best slot receivers and Moss one of the best deep threats. Defenses had no idea how to stop this tandem.
3. Isaac Bruce / Torry Holt (Rams)
Known as “The Greatest Show on Turf”, Isaac Bruce and Torry Holt played together for many years, from Holt’s rookie season in 1999 to 2007. By the end of their careers, the two combined for 274 receptions for 3,106 yards, and 15 touchdowns. They were a perfect fit under Mike Martz’s aggressive offensive scheme and were the key weapons in the Rams’ Super Bowl XXXIV victory with Bruce catching the game-winning touchdown from Kurt Warner.
2. Marvin Harrison / Reggie Wayne (Colts)
Peyton Manning had two of the best receivers at his disposal for the better part of a decade with Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. They defined the Colts’ offense during that period, racking up over 17,000 receiving yards and 130+ touchdowns from 2001 to 2008.

Jerry Rice alone was an NFL defense’s nightmare. But John Taylor was his perfect complement for about three years thanks to his speed, yards after the catch, and clutch performances. In Super Bowl XXIII, Rice won Super Bowl MVP for his performance, but it was Taylor who caught the game winner from Joe Montana.
