Trevon Diggs provides major injury news ahead of Cowboys’ 2025 season

Cornerback Trevon Diggs is one of the Dallas Cowboys’ best defensive players. In 2021, he led the league in interceptions with 11. Unfortunately over the last two seasons, he’s seen his career thrown off its track as he dealt with knee injuries.

As OTAs begin ahead of the 2025 season, Diggs has provided fans with a personal update via video of his progress so far.

Trevon Diggs’ new YouTube video shows incredible injury progress

On Monday, Diggs announced that he would be the star of a new YouTube series which documents his recovery from the ACL injury he suffered at the start of the 2023 season.

Diggs finally recovered enough to return in the 2024 season, but after 11 games, he re-injured the same knee. He underwent surgery in January, and now he’s provided us with a positive update on his recovery.

“My ACL Rehab journey was very successful,” Diggs wrote on X. “I ended up coming back to play 2 months sooner than I was suppose to. Follow my journey as I give you direct insight on how I did just that! Thankful for everyone who played a role with getting back out there! Episode 1 out now on YouTube!”

The Cowboys are hoping to have Diggs back to full health by the start of the 2025 season in September.

“We have a good idea (of a return date),” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. “He’s working hard. That’s very important because if he will be very good and diligent in his rehab process, then he’ll get back quicker. And when he does get back, he’ll be sounder. If he has not worked as hard, he is more subject to injury. He’s learned that one time.”
