One of the biggest moves the Dallas Cowboys made this offseason was adding wide receiver George Pickens in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Paired alongisde CeeDee Lamb, the two are expected to be one of the most dynamic duos in the league this season.
Even Super Bowl winner A.J. Brown agrees that the NFC East should look out.
Eagles star sounds the alarm after Pickens trade: “We have to step it up”
The Philadelphia Eagles are entering the 2025 season as the reigning Super Bowl champions. The Cowboys, on the other hand, are coming off a losing 7-10 season that saw them miss the playoffs. But with the addition of Pickens, even Eagles receiver A.J. Brown warned the league to watch out for their rivals’ newest tandem.
“I like that, I ain’t gonna lie,” Brown said. “We’re going to have to worry about (Dallas), for sure.”
“We’re going to have to worry about them. No, I like the trade,” Brown went on. “I do like the trade. I like the competition. I like George Pickens, I like CeeDee Lamb. And they collab. It’s going to be exciting to watch. Because all that does is bring the best out of us. So, if we know how they coming, we are going to have to step it up.”
Brown is part of one the most talented WR duos in the league alongside DeVonta Smithso he knows what he’s talking about. Despite beating the Cowboys twice last season by a combined 62 points, Brown reminded us that divisional rivals can never be taken lightly.
“Regardless of the scoreboard or what the score says, those are one of the hardest games,” said Brown. “Every single time. Cowboys, Washington, those are dog fights. It may look easy, but it ain’t easy.”
