The fixture list is out! All 32 NFL teams now know their schedule for the 2025 season, a key staging post ahead of the new campaign.
The schedule announcement was made in a special televised event on Wednesday evening, although some of the big-name fixtures were released ahead of time to heighten the anticipation.
The schedule release brings excitement for the new season but it also reveals exactly what lies between your team and a place in the postseason. The NFL’s structure ensures that each team has a different schedule and one team can count themselves pretty unfortunate when they look at the strength of their 2025 opponents.
Based on the 2024 records of each team, the New York Giants have the toughest schedule for the 2024 season. Their division already includes the Philadelphia EaglesNFC runner-up Washington Commanders and the Dallas Cowboysalways a daunting prospect.
Making things even tougher for the Giants, each NFC team will have to play nine road games this season, but only eight at home.
The Sharp Football Analysis agrees with this take, using betting odds to define which team are expected to be be the underdogs most often in their games.
Making matters worse for the Giants, they come into the season after going 9-25 across the past two seasons. General manager Joe Schoen and coach Brian Daboll were under serious pressure after picking up just three wins last year and they will be eager to start strongly.
Unfortunately, that looks an unlikely prospect. They start the season with trips to the Washington Commanders and the Dallas Cowboys, before welcoming the Kansas City Chiefs to MetLife Stadium. It’s a daunting prospect for the Giants and their under-fire coaching staff.
