Shedeur Sanders is the biggest name in the pot for round 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft, after the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback was surprisingly not picked in Thursday’s opening round.
Sanders was widely tipped as a top-10 selectionbut after fellow signal caller Cam Ward was chosen by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 1 pick, the Big 12 Offensive Player went undrafted.

“We all didn’t expect this, of course,” Sanders, who has opted against attending the event in Wisconsin, told a Draft party after his non-selection. He added: “I don’t feel like this happened for no reason. All this is of course fuel to the fire.”
When is day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft?
Held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, day 2 of the NFL Draft takes place today, Friday, April 25.
Round 2 is due to begin at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT, before being followed by round 3.
Rounds 4 to 7 are then scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday April 26, from 12:00 noon ET/9:00 a.m. PT.
