América de Cali is in the midst of a pressing situation and, apparently, also of a moment of uncertainty.
This Sunday will face Independiente Medellín on the 20th of Liga Betplay I 2025 in which he seeks to be a series head, and 48 hours later he will face Racing de Uruguay, with the urgency of a victory and a combination of results to continue alive in Copa Sudamericana.
And in the midst of that tension, the coach Jorge 'Moth' Da Silva asked him about his future and he, with the usual honesty, sowed his future.

In this Friday's press conference, DT da Silva responded to doubts about his possible renewal.
“From America nobody has come to talk to me about a possible renewal. They are already probing me from other places, but out of respect for the club I will not talk to anyone so far,” said Da Silva.
“I am very calm, I have the last month of the contract, I feel very happy in Cali, I want to finish in the best way. We have tried to make America competitive and I have the peace of mind that the team did,” he added, with a certain farewell air.
He even suggested that, while America takes time for renewal, his phone does not stop sounding: “Some very interesting offers are appearing and that is an issue that I must handle with my family, but I have no hurry,” said the DT.
“Football is very changing, if you are a champion you will be better than Guardiola, if they go wrong they accompany me to the airport to go,” he added.

Of course, in the first interview after this statement, Tulio Gómez, maximum shareholder of America, spoke of the thorny issue of renewal.
