Joan Garcia, one of Espanyol's great referents, is used to saving his team in many games of the season. But curiously, before the brand new champion in the derby, he did not suffer in excess, nor had to take his usual miraculous stops for a walk.

Questioned by the expulsion of Cabrera, Joan stressed that “they are very complicated actions, dispute with the ball. Maybe he releases his arm but we must measure the intention, the force with which he does. The red seems excessive to me, but the referee decides and the var then and nothing to say.”
On the celebration of Barça, the goalkeeper recalled that “we already lived it a couple of years ago. I understand that they are happy and want to celebrate. Asked about the abuse of Espanyol fans who marked the previous derby, the goalkeeper explained that “we did not know what had happened outside the stadium, we did not understand what was happening. A fan approached and taught me a video. I didn't know the context either, but it seemed serious. In the end, the police told us that everything was controlled and that there was nothing serious enough to stop the game.
