The Brazilian soccer confederation received a hard blow this Thursday, May 15, after the Rio de Janeiro court failed against President Ednaldo Rodrigues, who had to leave his position, just a few days after he managed to consolidate the hiring of the Italian coach, Carlo Ancelotti.
By obligation, the CBF had to accept Rodrigues' march immediately for the ruling of justice, as they found the leader for alleged fraud guilty.
Judge Gabriel Zefeiro was the one who made the decision against the Brazilian leader for the 'Ednaldo Case', after they reviewed that the return to the presidency of the CBF was the product of a signature without awareness of former president Antonio Carlos Nunes, who suffers from malignant cerebral neoplasia.
“Based on the above, I order the dismissal of the current Board of Directors of the CBF; 2- that the vice president of the CBF, Fernando José Sarney, summons the election of the management positions of the CBF, as an auditor, as soon as possible, complying with the legal deadlines, and that it is responsible, until the inauguration of the elected board of directors Article 7 of the Entity Statute, ”explained the CBF after failure.
While the new president of the CBF is elected, vice president Fernando Sarney becomes an interim manager, until the votes determine the new head of the entity.
Now, we will have to wait how much this scandal affects Carlo Ancelotti, who in a few weeks will choose the call and then will be at the head of the Brazilian team, so the arrival of the Italian coach began with several internal dilemmas.
