Two people have been arrested for presumably pressing and trying to extort the captain of the Tottenham Hotspur and of the National South Korean football team, Son Heung-MinSouth Korean police said Thursday. The suspects are a woman in about twenty years and a man about forty, a police spokesman told AFP.
It is suspected that they tried to extort the 32 -year -old striker falsely stating that the woman was pregnant with the footballer, according to Yonhap news agency. The soccer player, Son & Football Limited, said he had filed a complaint for blackmail and would take “firm and inflexible legal actions.”

The two suspects supposedly “threatened the player, telling him that they would disseminate false information,” the agency said in a statement. “We insist that they are heung-min is unequivocally the victim in this case,” he added. The player recently promised to finish his career with the London club after the Europa League final against Manchester United on May 21.
