The FIFA aspires to raise one billion dollars (900,000 million euros) in the Women's World Cupas the president of the governing body of world football declared Tuesday, Gianni Infantinoin the Saudi-United 2025 Arabia Investment Forum in Riyadh. The 2023 Women's World Cup, organized by Australia and New Zealand, reached the balance point after generating more than 570 million dollars in revenue.
“Women's football and the participation of women in football are crucial …”, said Infantino. “It is growing exponentially, and our goal is to obtain one billion dollars in revenues only with the Women's World Cup to reinvest in women's football.”
The next 2027 Women's Cup will be held in Brazil, the first edition to be held in South America. The United States is about to be appointed host of the 2031 edition, which will be expanded from 32 to 48 teams. Infantino also said that there is enormous potential for football to generate more income outside of Europe.

“If the rest of the world, in particular Saudi Arabia or the United States, made only 20% of what Europe does in football, we could achieve an impact on GDP of more than half a billion dollars or more with our sport,” he added.
“Saudi Arabia, by the way, is also doing it exceptionally well when creating a female league and a national women's team. Women's football is really the only sport of women's team with such a large audience and impact.”
