Cristhian Stuani, Captain of Girona and author of the goal of the victory this Monday against Mallorca (1-0), has recognized after the game that the players were “euphoric” because they needed “a lot of victory”, after eleven meetings without winning.
Stuani has argued in Dazn that the team has generated occasions to be “just winner” and has competed “very well from beginning to end” and has known how to suffer and “endure” the result.
“In these circumstances it is not easy to face the games. You have to play with the heart and with the soul and I think the team has shown a lot of rebellion,” said the striker.
The Uruguayan footballer, author of five of the last seven goals of Girona, was also “very happy” for the team and the fans and has urged to “enjoy” the victory, after weeks of so much suffering.
“If the team needs me there, I am now playing more and I try to do my best and empty on the court to help the team and I am getting it,” he concluded.
