The documentary series 'Kunporagüero' It was presented a few days ago in Cannes and It opens this Wednesday at Disney+ in Latin America. It is the story of Kun told by himself and by characters close to his career like Messi, Guardiola or his father. Before the premiere, Marca had the opportunity to speak with the Argentine about this promising documentary series.
Ask. He was in Cannes presenting his series. Do you feel comfortable in that world?
Answer. To counting a sports life is not something new, but for me. Many people liked the series here in Cannes and has spoken well about it. I look forward to the premiere of May 7.
Q. What is told in the series?
A. I always had the idea of telling how I was raised and how I started playing as a boy. It is a beautiful story since I was born until I gave me the arrhythmia and I had to withdraw. Count what I was feeling while all that happened. There were sad, cheerful moments … The idea is to enjoy the path of my career in Disney+.

A. I feel proud of my career. Of course, winning these two trophies was everyone's desire, but I feel part of the World Cup won in Qatar, because a year before we won the Copa América 2021 and just after the arrhythmia came. But it was still part of the squad. I went to Barça that 2021, because it was the only team that really loved me, apart from another club outside of Spain. I left and I didn't care about the contract. I just wanted to play next to Messi and do those two years (2021 and 2022) to get to the World Cup. And coming to LaLiga I assured him, and not so much leaving the MLS, Arabia or Argentina. The idea was to get to Qatar. Anyway, the boys made me feel that the Cup was also mine, talking to me, going to the concentration, taking mate … I felt part.
Q. They were both in Barça, but arrhythmia came to you and Leo had to go to Paris. Where would that duo arrive in the club?
R-. You will never know. It was a nice idea to be together and meet us even more to get to the World Cup better, sharing the day to day in a club, something that was unpublished between us. The connection would have been better yet.
Q. In the series his father has a lot of prominence. Explain.
A. It was the one who started my career since the age of five, taking me to neighborhood clubs. It was the one who got very strict for me to train and then play. And when I had bad times, it was hard to continue growing … and continued to guide me. In addition, I selected the environment. My three best friends since the age of 12 were always surrounded, and they leave in the series, by the way. My father did not let anyone in, except them. And I dedicated myself to playing and focusing on that. That's why my father was fundamental until I matured. When I arrived at first, the protagonist was just me.
Q. Would you recommend a young footballer to represent her father?
A. Eye, my father was not my agent. But, well, everyone can work for each. I believe that the logical thing is for parents to make parents and then expert people are the ones who represent: lawyers, financial, etc … specialist people who have studied for that and help you progress, and not that your father is the one who drives everything, because, after all, he remains your father and minimal mess … is dangerous and can even divide the family. It has happened to him and will happen to many players. Avoid problems is better and if your father is your agent you should know that there may be conflict, whether economical or other. It is a possible conflict that is not good for the family. I prefer to hire specialists.
Q. He spent 10 years in Manchester. Did you imagine so successful there?
A. I arrived in Mercanter and the weather was not a problem for me. Players have many games and you don't have time to be on the street. I was just worried how to integrate into the court. And I adapted very well, also because there were many colleagues who spoke Spanish, Zabaleta type, Tevez, Silva, Touroé, Balotelli … and inside the countryside, Silva and Yaya had football and were looking for me. That facilitated me a lot.
Q. I had Pep Guardiola for many years as a coach. Didn't the bug of being a technician put him?
A. No. I was never interested in that part, and each technician has their way of motivating. It is not easy to handle 25 players with only 11 headlines. It is a very sacrificed, desostant job and prefer not to think about that.
Q. You are still the top scorer in the club's history (260 goals in 390 total games). Will Erling Haaland (120 goals in 138 shocks) take it away, who has just renewed until 2034?
A. Yes, if you continue at this rhythm, you have many 'chances' to pass me. It is not easy to stay every year with 20-25 goals in Premier. I did it and he will surely do it. He has many years left and we will have to bet that a great player like Haaland takes it away from me. And I will congratulate him. It cost me and he will realize that it is not easy to make so many goals.
Q. What happened to the club this season?
A. Since 2012 we lift the Premier, we have won a lot. The players are getting years and that wears out. In my time there were more cracks to sign.
