Rosario Central won 1-0 as a local to Independent of Avellaneda and ended in the first place the regular season of the First Division Tournament of Argentine football. Rosario Central reached 35 points in the standings of zone B, six difference with its independent rival, seven above River Plate and eight from San Lorenzo de Almagro.
“The balance of the game was very positive and gives us the possibility of ending up in our area. We are a warrior team, a complex team to face,” said technical director Ariel Holan. In the qualifying phase of the round of 16, which will be played at a single match in the best classified team stadium, Rosario Central will face students in La Plata, which was classified in the eighth place in Zone A.
In the match played at the Giant Stadium in Arroyito, where the Rosario club won its seven games, the only goal reached 20 minutes through Adrián Sporle against his own fence after a shot by Santiago López.

Institute traced workshops in Córdoba
For its part, Institute became the last classified in Zone B by tracing an adverse score and beating workshops 2-1 in one of the classics of the province of Córdoba. Workshops opened the scoring at 13 minutes through Matías Galarza, while Institute reversed with goals from Alex Luna and Damián Puebla after minutes 43 and 80, respectively.
Meanwhile, San Lorenzo closed its classification in the fourth place in zone B when taking out an agonized 1-1 draw as a visitor against Sarmiento de Junín. Sarmiento opened the scoring at 36 minutes thanks to a goal against his own fence of Andrés Vombergar, while San Lorenzo matched the 87 through Agustín Ávalos Molina also against.

On Friday, Argentinos Juniors thrashed students 4-0 and was a leader in Zone A, Racing Club beat Newell's Old Boys, Independiente Rivadavia exceeded defense and justice 3-2, Banfield won Central Central Córdoba 3-1, while Unión and Belgrano matched 1-1.
